Aşadar, pe lângă proiectul SMUOS mai am şi OpenSim care la mine face pereche bună cu CoolVL. Ambele fiind nişte proiecte complexe care necesită multă atenţie şi care dau satisfacţii destul de mari.
Şi acum o poză cu mine ca avatar în OpenSim, am numele Test User şi sunt la început de drum.

Blogul are audienţă pe măsura cunoaşterii despre existenţa sa şi pe măsura interesului faţă de http://3dchat.no-ip.org/ :
Încă de când am postat prima dată, am observat că există diferenţă între ora şi ziua de la mine şi ora şi ziua afişate pe blog. Pentru azi:

În caz că totuşi şi altcineva în afară de mine citeşte acest blog, şi vrea ca să programeze în JavaScript pluginul BS Contact, voi scrie câteceva din ceeace am aflat şi eu.
De altfel acest blog nu este dedicat programării pluginului mai sus pomenit ci este consacrat în principal prezentării proiectului SMUOS persoanelor care nu au timp ca să se ocupe în profunzime cu teorie de software.
Chestiunile vor fi puse pentru început nesistematic părând la prima vedere fără nici o noimă.
Ca elemente de plecare avem browserul Mozilla Firefox 3604, pluginul BSContact 8203, HTML, JavaScript şi VRML 97.

Clientul de 3dchat este pluginul BS Contact cu versiunea 8.203 care se poate găsi în arhiva aflată la adresa
http://sourceforge.net/projects/smuos/
După dezarhivarea fişierului de acolo, va rezulta folderul smuos care în PlatformInstallationBinaries conţine aplicaţia BS_Contact_Installer(8.203).exe care va instala pluginul utilizat de proiectul SMUOS .
Observaţie: în poză la fişierul avatar.wrl apare simbolul browserului Cortona ( fluturele), deoarece îl am şi pe el instalat în computer. Pentru folosirea browserului BS Contact nu este nevoie de browserul Cortona, ceea ce este evident pentru cei care cunosc deja câteceva despre aceste aplicaţii.
Având instalat pluginul
pentru Mozilla Firefox,
se pot viziona cu acesta fişiere de Realitate Virtuală.punând pointerul pe fişierul respectiv, dând clik dreapta şi alegând ca să fie deschis cu acest browser.
Dacă sunt online cu http://3dchat.no-ip.org , vizitând situl cu browserul şi pluginul amintite mai înainte veţi putea să vedeţi cum funcţionează aplicaţia SMUOS.
Altă observaţie, de ce trebuie neapărat MozillaFirefox şi neapărat această versiune a lui BS Contact ? Deoarece numai în aceste condiţii acest 3dchat funcţionează. Serverul folosit, BSCollaborate
face pereche bună cu clientul acesta, şi deasemenea acest client lucrează la întreaga lui posibilitate numai cu acest browser.
La ora actuală, este indicat ca să se utilizeze următorul link:

Primii paşi:
după această apariţie se dă click pe butonul Start Scene
şi va apare
Acum se va da click pe butonul Close ca să închidem această fereastră deoarece sub ea se află altă fereastră:
Aceasta ne confirmă ce pseudonim ne-am ales. Dăm click pe OK .
De acum întrăm în chat, după ce ne-am ales pseudonimul, avatarul şi camera de chat.
Urmează poza de după conectare la serverul chatului ( serverul BS Collaborate ):
Avem lista 'Beamer', vine de la 'beam to', pe această listă sunt etalate pseudonimele persoanelor din 3dchat, dând click pe un pseudonim, vom fi 'beam to' avatarul celui care poartă acel pseudonim.
Mai vedem şi ferestrele 'Chat Input' şi 'Chat Uouput' şi de asemenea butonul 'Say it'; evident că se înţelege despre ce rol au aceste elemente.
Butonul 'Reload', evident că este pentru repornirea procesului de accesare a serverului, adică iar apare chestia aia cu SrrTrains, iar trebuie ca să ne alegem pseudonim, să ne alegem avatar şi să ne alegem cameră şi apoi să dăm click pe butonul 'Start Scene' ... Deci e bine să nu dăm click pe 'Reload' dacă nu vrem ca să o luăm de la început.
De acum putem umbla prim cameră, putem vedea alte avatare, daca mai sunt useri in cameră, şi de asemenea putem citi mesaje şi scrie mesaje ...
Aşadar avem:
unde se vede că am scris un text şi mai rămâne ca să apăs butonul 'Say it'.
Iar această poză arată că textul tipărit în 'Chat Iinput' va fi distribuit în 'Chat Output' şi de asemenea mai arată efectul clickuirii unui pseudonim din fereastra 'Beamer' unde este lista cu participanţii la chat, adică suntem trimişi chiar în faţa avatarului celui al cărui pseudonim a fost clickuit.:
